Root Server won't boot

sa flag

I rent a ubuntu server from Hetzner which has been working great for a long time.

What happend today is that i entered the command "sudo iptables -F".

This made my SSH on port 1994 connection disconnect and no matter what i do, i can not reconnect to the ssh.

I've booted the system into rescue mode and i have purged all firewall settings like ufw and iptables. But still no luck.

What i don't have in the system is the resolv.conf. The folder which it's linked to doesn't exist either.

Does anyone know how i can take this further to get the connection?

The server is pingable and accesable via ssh ONLY when in rescue mode. When theres a normal boot it is not working.

My system is running on Ubuntu 20.04.

Kind Regards

What did you expect `sudo iptables -T` to do ? A -T (capital T) option doesn’t appear in the man page. Can you access any logs in rescue mode that might shed light on what is failing on a normal boot? `journalctl -xb`

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
