Cannot boot ubuntu because of low memory

I have been using ubuntu for last couple of months, but after some time ubuntu started to be laggy, so I decided to restart the virtual machine but after that ubuntu wont launch at all. Now I know that it was propably because of didnt allow ubuntu enought memory but I dont know how to fix itThis is response to booting up

You haven't given us a lot to go on. What version ubuntu, what is the vmhost (KVM, vmware,??), why do you think it is memory related? Can you get to a GRUB menu?
