Laptop not resuming after closing the lid

at flag

I recently installed Ubuntu 22.10 after using POP OS. Sometimes my laptop won't resume after closing the lid.

I expect that the laptop suspends or hibernates when I close the lid, and that it resumes when I open it again.

But sometimes the laptop doesn't respond when I open it. I see the blinking light (when it's closed) changing to a white light (laptop is on) but nothing happens. I can't login, the screen is black. Typing, clicking the mouse or pushing the power button doesn't do anything.

I also have the impression that hibernation or suspend doesn't work well because I found the battery empty 2 days in a row after keeping it in a bag overnight.

I'm using a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14ARE05 - 16 GB RAM - AMD Ryzen™ 7 4700U with Radeon™ Graphics × 8 - RENOIR GPU - 512 GB SSD.

OS: Ubuntu 22.10 - Gnome 43.1 - Wayland.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
