lightdm with single application doesn't use full screen

cn flag

I have an old iMac (imac5,1 late 2006) running Ubuntu 22.04 that I'm using as a TV with a USB TV tuner ().

At present it logs in to the desktop and starts kaffeine; I'd like to cut out the desktop as it serves no purpose. (I can fn-ctrl-alt-F2 to get a terminal if needed, and ssh in from elsewhere.)

I created

$ cat /usr/share/xsessions/rwb-kaffeine.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Name=rwb-kaffeine
Comment=Kaffeine player without desktop
Exec=/usr/bin/kaffeine --fullscreen
Type=Application

and

$ cat /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/70-rwb.conf
[SeatDefaults]
user-session=rwb-kaffeine
autologin-guest=false
autologin-user=imac51
autologin-user-timeout=0

And then

# dpkg-reconfigure lightdm

and chose lightdm.

While it starts only kaffeine as expected, it's half way off the screen.

Can it be made full screen? What sort of thing could I try to fix it?

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
