Hello, This a Ubuntu related site not windows, you can post your question here https://superuser.com/

You've provided no OS/release details; but have tagged on off-topic release (*or themes created by Linux Mint available for Ubuntu Xfce desktops but the Mint themes don't apply to mounting as only impact colors/windows on screen!*). If your windows partition is *unclean* (hibernated/fastboot etc) it'll remain that way until closed (*even if OS that caused it to be unclean is deleted*).

Only Ubuntu and [official flavors of Ubuntu](https://ubuntu.com/download/flavours) are on-topic here, refer https://askubuntu.com/help/on-topic where you'll find other SE sites where you question will be welcome if you don't want to use a Linux Mint forum. (*One advantage of Ubuntu is it's many support options, you opted for Linux Mint so take advantage of its support options, or SE Unix & Linux* found in the on-topic link)

The simplest way would be to format the disk, eliminating the NTFS partition and replacing it with one that has native support in Ubuntu. However, if your goal is to unlock the NTFS partition to retrieve data, you can use the ntfsfix utility.

If, for example, the NTFS partition is /dev/sda1, you can unlock it like this:

ntfsfix /dev/sda1

If ntfsfix is not installed on your system, you can add it with:

sudo apt install ntfsfix

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
