Authentication Pop-up Uninvited 22.04

ax flag

My 22.04 installed on PC with no windows OS on the system. It's exclusively Ubuntu. For some reason the authentication pop-up window shows up at various times during the day. It doesn't make any difference whether I'm working on a text file, an internet connection, or editing images. It just shows up without cause. It's easy enough to eliminate with the Esc key or by just clicking on the cancel block on the pop-up but it's annoying as heck. Any ideas how I can eliminate that nuisance would be helpful.

If the authentication pop-up is appearing at random times throughout the day, that means that *something* needs administrator access to run. You might want to check the system logs (`/var/log/syslog` specifically) to see what is reporting an authentication error after you dismiss the pop-up. If the application is a valid one, then something may be misconfigured. If the application is not recognised, then something may have compromised your system

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
