black screen on Ubuntu 20.04 after login

cm flag

Problem: After typing in my credentials I am greeted by a black screen with a cursor. My desktop environment does not load although the folder names are present they don't work at all and the terminal doesn't work either and the settings tab doesn't work. How can I resolve this issue? I don't want to lose my information and files?

System: Ubuntu 20.04; Gnome 3.38.2004

What I've tried

  • Ctrl+Alt+F3 to update the graphics drivers but nothing.
  • i wanted also to reinstall the desktop environment.

i hope this image is clear enough to show the probleme how it looks here

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
