Do I need to regereate initramfs when I move Linux to new partitions?

je flag

When I restore my Linux backups from either an image file or tar backups to new partitions/volumes (root, boot, and home), do I need to regerenerate the initramfs files as well? I would use the command:

sudo update-initramfs -u -k all

I'm writing a script file to automate things such as renaming the labels, regenerating the UUIDs, updating the /etc/fstab file, and validating/regenerating the symlinks to the /boot/initrd.img files. I just want the restoration process to be as seamless as possible. Do I need to update the initrd.img files as well for the new locations? If the answer is "yes," I would assume I would need to do this from within chroot jail. Is that true?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
