Reset external display required after boot

hr flag

System

  • Ubuntu 22.04 Desktop, mainline
  • Nvidia 525 Driver
  • Regolith 2.0 w gnome
  • xrandr shows secondary connected to HDMI-1-0 and eDP-1 connected to main display

Currently when the system boots the second display is on but it just displays the login background and the mouse will move over to the display but the display never updates.

If I unplug HDMI and replug I then can see this display and it updates properly.

I can also use Ctrl-Alt-F1 and then back to Ctrl-Alt-F7 to make the display work without having to replug.

  • can I automate CTRL-ALT-F1 commands from a script?
  • or where is a good place to start hunting down what the main issue is.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
