When i run a virtual machine, its permissions change from 770 to 700 how do i change it?

my virtualization software is VirtualBox 6.1. I am trying to make a virtual machine accessible to both my sister and me. I created a user group consisting of me and her, changed group ownership to that group for every virtual machine file, and set permissions to 770. However, if I run the vm on either of these users, the permissions change to 700. I found a guy asking this same question, the answer was simply to create two copies of the vbox file but that didn't work, maybe because the logs needed to be accesed too. The host os is ubuntu 22.4.2 lTS

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
