Bluetooth not accessible from GUI

ua flag

I just installed Ubunu 22.04 and the bluetooth is not working from the GUI. I have no clue why and I have tried to look around for answers but cannot seem to find any that works.

When I run

$ systemctl status bluetooth

I get that it is active and running but when I use

$ sudo bluetoothctl
$ scan on

I get that "No default controller available".

I am a noob so please feel free to tell me which commands to run so that I can get to the bottom of this.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Adding terminal output as asked

$ sudo lspci -nnk | grep -iA3 net; sudo lsusb; sudo dmesg | egrep -i 'blue|firm'

Please edit to include results from terminal for `lspci -nnk | grep -iA3 net; lsusb; dmesg | egrep -i 'blue|firm'`

Hi @Jeremy31 thanks for your reply! I now updated the post with the output you asked for.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
