Totem player returns "Unable to create a GL context" when trying to play videos 22.04

in flag

I was away for 5 weeks, when I got back to my desktop, I ran an update/upgrade. This went ahead without any problems. But when trying to open any video with Totem player (Videos) I get the error below. I did a reinstall of Totem Player with Synaptic, it didn't signal any missing dependencies. This happens with all formats, MP4, MPV, WEBM etc.

The system log is showing the following:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
