The Linux operating system, and many applications that run on it, do a lot of logging. These logs are invaluable for monitoring and troubleshooting your system. https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/viewing-and-monitoring-log-files#1-overview

could you clarify the answer? I knew, that operating system do a lot of logging and there are huge documentations to read, but maybe you could post commands and explain what should I look for? It was big chip something like 4G USB dongle, how can I check if it not installed any malicious software?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
