Wifi settings doesn't show any networks On Ubuntu Server 22.04.2

za flag

I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu Server 22.04.2 and my wifi card seems to be recognized but I can't see any available networks in the list that appears when triggering the settings UI in Gnome

enter image description here

I looked up various solutions for this issue and doesn't seem like my situation fits any, could someone help me debug the issue?

Troubleshooting steps:

> nmcli device
DEVICE TYPE STATE CONNECTION
wlp4s0 wifi disconnected --
enp5s0 ethernet unmanaged --
lo loopback unmanaged --

then I tried

> rfkill list
0: hci0: Bluetooth
    Soft blocked: no
    Hard blocked: no
1: phy0: Wireless LAN
    Soft blocked: no
    Hard blocked: no
2: hci1: Bluetooth
    Soft blocked: no
    Hard blocked: no

the troubleshooter suggested I look into the hardware so I did that too

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
