Sudo access using AD without using FQDN

pw flag

I've been able to get my server setup where it will allow me to use my AD credentials to login, and sudo works as well, but only if I sign in using [email protected].

I changed the /etc/sssd/sssd/conf file use_fully_qualified_names = False and I can login with the same user myuser without the FQDN, but it won't allow me to sudo when logged in that way. What am I missing here?

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
