SFTP MaxAuthTries error

rw flag

Hello I'm following some instruction on the internet to be able to connect to my server via SFTP using Transfercloud.io but when I try doing test inside ubuntu I'm getting this error

ubuntu command $ sftp [email protected]

user3036@mcserver:~$ sftp [email protected]
/etc/ssh/ssh_config: line 41: Bad configuration option: maxauthtries
/etc/ssh/ssh_config: terminating, 1 bad configuration options
Connection closed

This appears to be a setting in the config file that `ssh_config` does not like. Check `man ssh_config` for the settings that the config file will take.

AFAIK `MaxAuthTries` is a setting that's supported by the *server* configuration file `/etc/sshd_config` - not the client configuration file

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
