Lubuntu V22.04.3 now wants login

gs flag

After installing August 6, 2023 updates to Lubuntu V22.03.04 I cannot get automatically logged in. A blank, black screen wants a login of which I have no idea what it wants. Yet again Lubuntu is messed up after an update and this time it's very bad.

You've provided few details for us a to work with; but this bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/2025462) may have impacted you.. Your desktop *meta-package* may have disappeared (blogged about many places; eg. https://linux.org/threads/if-youre-using-ubuntu-22-04-or-an-official-flavor-you-might-want-to-put-off-updating-for-a-few-days.46228/) which can be easily fixed by re-installing the desktop (ie. `sudo apt install --reinstall lubuntu-desktop`) ....

OR your system is using the HWE kernel (*you didn't specify; kernel stack is dictated by Lubuntu ISO used at install and we don't know what that was*!) and thus have issues with newer 6.2 linux kernel; switching back to GA kernel stack (ie. 5.15) is your answer; but you've provided too few details for your actual issue to be known, and what fix is appropriate. *It may also have been something else; I've listed on two options, but with lack of details about your issue & your actual system; release itself isn't enough!, we cannot advise except 'guess'*
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
