enter image description hereI am using a desktop that cannot be shut down without opening the chassis and moving the memory sticks. So I never shut it down. Occasionally the electricity fails and I must start up the machine again. Today I went thru the maneuver, but instead of booting there was a flash message about chassis intrusion followed by the error message in the image I have provided. Elsewhere I found out about locating info for the rescue and that is in the provided image.
This is Linux 21 or 20.1. can't find exact as I can't boot to check.
I ran ls (hd0,msdos1) and received "Filesystem is ext2",which is what I was supposed to be looking for. Then performed the recommended steps: set boot, set prefix, insmod, and received the original message.gave up and shut down.
Today, I decided to go with ls(hd1,msdos1). What the heck.
I again received "Filesystem is ext2". that is a bit confusing.
Again I set boot, set prefix then insmod normal. And look what I got this time: error:symbol 'grub_file_filters' not found.
As you can see I did the hd0 sequence again and received same again.
Sorry, I am no techie and spent hours just finding, and deciding, on this route.
What's next. BTW this is the first message of this sort I have received after an electric shut down.
