Unable to boot into Windows 10 after reinstalling GRUB using Boot-Repair

cc flag

Lately I've been having trouble with RAM so I was doing some testing when my PC froze while booting and I had to force shutdown.

After that, when I powered it on again I got the "Reboot and select proper boot device" error, so I guess my EFI partition corrupted. I decided to use boot-repair to fix it and after using it I was able to get into GRUB again, and my Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS installation is working properly, however when I try to boot into Windows 10 I get the following message:

/EndEntire
error: cannot find image.

Press any key to continue...

I tried running os-prober & grub-update multiple times but I always get the same error. I also tried creating my own menu entry like this:

menuentry 'Windows 10 (manual)' {
    search --fs-uuid --no-floppy --set=root 56FC-8C94
    chainloader ($root)/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
}

but I get the same error. I've been looking all day for possible fixes but nothing seem to be working.

I think I have found the solution: looks like I needed to repair Windows Boot Manager.

I downloaded Windows 10 installation tools into a USB drive, booted into it, ran the startup repair tool and now I'm able to boot into Windows 10 without any issue from GRUB.

I thought this was a GRUB configuration issue because of the error message I was receiving but I guess it wasn't?

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
