Installing Scibd (chess database) on Linux Mint

lu flag

I've been looking around for an open source software that can read chessbase formats (.cbv especially) and it seems like the only existing one is scibd (https://scidb.sourceforge.net/) but I can't understand how to install it and make it work. I would be very happy to toss away chessbase completely (it's the only thing that forces me to go back to windows from time to time). I use Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon. Thank you for any advice regarding the installation!

I would strongly recommend you use the up-to-date fork of [`scid_vs_pc`](https://scidvspc.sourceforge.net/). But this isn't on topic

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
