Install Python 3.10 in Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS

cn flag

I'm trying to install Python 3.10 in an Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS following this and adding deadsnakes ppa to my list of repositories doesn't seem to work for me.

Using "grep python3.10", after adding deadsnakes to the list of repositories, only shows a package called "postgresql-plpython3-10/bionic-updates". The text printed by "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa" suggests it doesn't work for Ubuntu under 20.04. Any help?

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is *end of standard support* and thus off-topic on this site, unless your question is specific to moving to a *fully supported* release of Ubuntu. The Deadsnakes PPA also only provides support for *standard* support LTS releases of Ubuntu, thus doesn't provide support for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS due to its EOSS status.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
