Random End of Stream encountered before parsing was completed occurs after changing server

lk flag

ClickOnce client (.NET 2.0, .NET Remoting, IIS) randomly returns unhandled exception of "End of Stream encountered before parsing was completed" for some users at the start up.

Some days program starts ok, some days it won't. Everything worked for years, but problem began after changing server out of customer's own environment. Program's version is exactly the same.

I think the network route is longer and slower now. Route is: Customer (VPN) -> Frontend server (I think Linux Apache) -> Backend server (IIS). I think this is a network issue, but being a programmer trying to solve a network issues, I have no tools nor access to environments other than IIS server where software is installed. In this instance, error is showing on client.

How could the root cause be investigated further e.g. by customer IT?

Very likely you need to talk to Microsoft support, by opening a support case via http://support.microsoft.com Even if you were able to collect data from the IIS machine (IIS log files, network packets) you wouldn't find it easy to analyze them.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
