UFW: block outgoing to LAN

in flag

In order to protect my local network from an attack on an self hosted server (although it's probably unnecessary), I would like to block all outgoing traffic to the LAN.

At first this seems easy, as blocking the private IP ranges should do the trick, but my ISP provides my router with a public IPv6 prefix as well. Every device in the network gets an IP from that public range (for port forwarding), too.

As a result I am still able to connect from the server to any other device in the LAN by using its 'public' IPv6.

Obviously I could block IPv6 completely, but that doesn't seem right.

Is there something I am missing or do I have to block the IPv6 prefix as soon as it changes?

Thanks!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
