Domain Access Issues through RDP

in flag

We are adding new servers to a domain but having frequent issues with connecting to those servers through RDP. Frequently when trying to connect via RDP I get the message "the security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship". The server is running and other things like APIs and web apps can still be accessed from the network. This is resolved by logging in with a local administrator and removing then re-adding the server to the domain.

There are no conflicts in DNS or AD Users and Computers and the servers and the domain controllers are both synced with an NTP server so there shouldn't be a time issue. Also there are no firewall conflicts.

Those are the troubleshooting steps I have exhausted from my research. Any other advice would be appreciated. These servers are all Windows Server 2016.

You'll want to dig through the Windows Event Viewer and check the System logs for any errors regarding domain lookups, DNS, time, etc. You'll most likely find your errors here on the target system. If not, have your domain admins check the Security event logs for any audit failures that reference those server names.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
