Additional MX server for newsletters

cn flag

I installed a newsletter control panel (Mailtrain) on a dedicated VPS. When I send a newsletter using the domain that is associated to the server itself (let's call it mymailserver.com) I have no doubt: I configured SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the DNS; the MX points to the hostname of the server itself.

The doubts begin when I want to send a newsletter using a different "From:" header. I have control on that domain (let's call it mysite.com) so I can configure its DNS records. I put mymailserver.com into the SPF record, but I can't validate DKIM/DMARC until I put mymailserver.com also as MX server.

mysite.com already has its MX servers that are used for normal email traffic, so I added mymailserver.com as additional MX record, with the lowest priority (100).

Does it make sense, or I'm screwing it up?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
