Windows 10 guest on Proxmox has limited network speed?

in flag

Thanks in advance for any insights you might be able to provide... this one has me stumped.

I'm running proxmox on my server, and I've got multiple VM's on that server.. some running windows 7 some, ubuntu, and some windows 10 guests.

I have an 1000mb/sec upload and download speed to my server, and testing it using speedtest.net from ANY of my other machines, I get about 995/sec both directions, all the VM's are sharing the same virtualied interface on Proxmox and every machine works as expected, except the windows 10 machines.

I get approximately 1/3 the speed download (~300mb/sec and ~100mb/sec upload)..

I've tried changing (updating) network drivers, I've switched the virtualized hardware to intel, and realtek, with about the same results.

This only seems to affect my win 10 machines, as all others preform as expected.

What gives? I'm not even sure where to look next to resolve this issue.

Thanks again for any insights.

Best, {c}guy

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
