Accessing MSSQL server remotely through mikrotik

uz flag

I have a following setup:

  • Server with MSSQL installed with remote connections allowed
  • Mikrotik router

I have setup all the necessary things on MSSQL:

  • Tcp port
  • Firewall
  • Allow remote connections

On mikrotik I setup port forwarding for:

  • 1433 tcp & udp

I can access MSSQL from another server on the same network but not from the internet - getting error 26 . What am I doing wrong ?

When you run a packet capture, is the remote receiving a response on port 1433 from the SQL Server?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
