Kerberos is broken domain wide when an SPN is set on the server

cn flag

I'm trying to investigate a problem we've had for the last 2 years. I am a developer and have familiarity with Windows Server /Active Directory /GPO... but I am not in charge of the network setup of the servers, but for the last 2 years our network admins have not been able to fix this Kerberos problem we are having.

When we set an SPN on a service account, Kerberos breaks on that server. We have about about a dozen servers this is affecting.

Example...we cannot remote into any server with a SPN server using Server Manager (Kerberos security error), Kerberos in the browser is broken (passthrough auth not working)...

This has been a big thorn in my side when trying to manage these servers during development.

I have access to the servers to check configuration. Kerberos is Enabled at the domain level.

Our Domain Controllers are Server 2019 and they are running Domain and Forest Function level at Windows Server 2012 R2.

Can anyone maybe shed some light on how to proceed with troubleshooting?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
