How to configure DHCP and Subnet on VODAFONE SMART ROUTER 3?

br flag

I intend to have for my internal network the submask /27 The IP of my Vodafone Smart Router 3 is 192.168.1.1 and the factory default submask is /24

This will give me 8 subnets

192.168.1.0 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.30 192.168.1.31
192.168.1.32 192.168.1.33 - 192.168.1.62 192.168.1.63
192.168.1.64 192.168.1.65 - 192.168.1.94 192.168.1.95
192.168.1.96 192.168.1.97 - 192.168.1.126 192.168.1.127
192.168.1.128 192.168.1.129 - 192.168.1.158 192.168.1.159
192.168.1.160 192.168.1.161 - 192.168.1.190 192.168.1.191
192.168.1.192 192.168.1.193 - 192.168.1.222 192.168.1.223
192.168.1.224 192.168.1.225 - 192.168.1.254 192.168.1.255

When I add the default mask to the Vodafone Smart Router 3.0 it seems to accept. enter image description here However the DHCP configuration seems to forbid any IP range that does not belongs to the first subnet.

  • Is this a default behavior of the equipment or I am missing some step?

I also noticed that I can not define my DHCP server to work across some subnets for this equipment. In that case probably I will disable the DHCP but I am afraid that devices on subnets different the one the router belongs will not have access to the internet since I have no way to create static route on this equipment.

  • Am I right?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
