How to automate SSL certificate to page builder site?
ru flag

I created Page Builder Application for my clients but I am facing difficulties in SSL creation because of users counts is too large (more than 1000). I know its not right procedure SSL certificate creating manually and restarting for each user which is bad idea. I want to apply SSL certificate automatically who all are pointing my DNS A record.

How to create a SSH connection between Ansible and Jenkins containers

I'm new to Jenkins.

My goal is to create a Jenkins job\pipeline that will activate a group of ansible's playbook files - which will create a long installation of my tested product.

I build 2 containers in Docker desktop (Windows): Ansible and Jenkins.

Below Ansible docker-compose.yml file:

What could cause blocked requests in IIS?
gl flag

I'm using IIS on Windows Server 2016 with MySQL and PHP on two almost identical servers. I've recently noticed a slowdown on one of my two servers but it happens only when my site tries to execute multiple instances of a script at the same time. They seem to get stuck on each other.

A perfect example is my search page. When the user types in a search query, with each keyup (after the second le ...

Why are my HOSTS file changes not taking effect in Windows 10?
za flag

I made a change to my hosts file on my Windows 10 machine today, however after saving the changes in Notepad (running as admin) the changes do not appear to work.

For example I would expect this entry:

127.0.0.1 google.com

To stop a page from resolving to Google.com.

However, this doesn't appear to be happening and the web browser resolves to google.

Is there a cache setting I'm missing?

How can I configure Wireguard running in a docker container on a VPS to allow communication between its' connected clients?
br flag

I have a VPS running WireGuard as a server in a docker container, where I've given it the devices I intend on adding as peers.

I have a home server running WireGuard as a client in a docker container using the host network mode. IP Forwarding is enabled on each of these servers.

When I connect with my laptop to the WireGuard host on the VPS, I'm unable to access my home server.

File permissions and owner of web root
in flag

Consider you have a freshly installed Linux distro (maybe a new EC2 instance) and you are going to run a git clone on the /srv folder to host a website (maybe a PHP one).

How should you run the git clone so every created files and folder have the correct permission/groups? You are going to use an HTTP Server similar to Nginx to serve the website.

Can't get disk space back after running out of space (and removing some files) in Ubuntu 18.04
in flag

This is driving me crazy! My server run out of space. I cleaned up some files by removing the folders. The amount of free space didn't go up (% wise). This is what I now see:

enter image description here

As you can see, it shows 315gb size, of which 298gb is in use. So why does it show 100% used? The only reason I have the 1.1gb free that you can see if due to removing more files are reboot. Even though I got rid of 15+gb of files b ...

I installed postfix on a server and when I send an email with the sendmail command it doesn't get delivered, but when I send with the mail command it does get delivered. What's worse, postfix logs claim it got delivered when using:

Ubuntu 18.04 sticking on reboot with "a stop job is running for Advanced ..."
in flag

I can't figure out why my server is sticking on a reboot:

enter image description here

I left it running for ages (20+ mins!), and it just keeps sticking on that point. The only way around it is to force a restart again.

Any suggestions on what to check? Ideally, I'd move over to a later version (20.04 etc), but its a bit of a job due to the amount of stuff I'm running on this server

Why am I allowed to move, but not delete, a file on Windows Server 2019?
co flag

Today I needed to remove a file, but I couldn't:

[capv@TKG-VC-ANTREA-M]: C:\Users\capv> rm 'C:\Program Files\containerd\containerd-shim-runhcs-v1.exe'
rm : Cannot remove item C:\Program Files\containerd\containerd-shim-runhcs-v1.exe: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\containerd\containerd-shim-runhcs-v1.exe' is denied.

Oddly, I found a workaround: Just mv it instead, and it worked.

Generating sasl_passwd.db in postfix docker container

I have a working postfix container that acts as an smtp relay for a local app in another container.

I wish to change the relay to one which requires sasl authentication. This requires generating sasl_passwd.db using command

My question is what is the best way to accomplish this in a docker container context? Can I just copy the hashed sasl_passwd.db from another serv ...

Address to be used to access private ipaddress for AZURE resource from on-premise

I can see how we can make an AZURE database, say COSMOS DB, a private IP address with Private link, that is fine.

If you want to access that private link / IP address database from on-premise via site2site vpn, with a tool like Spotfire or Tableau, how do we specify the connection string that goes via the ExpressRoute or Site2SiteVPN? I cannot find any examples on that and how that occurs.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
