What the "uri" written in nginx doc(difference with the "file")?
cn flag

The last argument of try_files directive is slightly different from the others, it has a leading slash(but not means absolute path): e.g. try_files $uri $uri.html $uri/ /fallback/index.html;.

And the doc distinguish them as file and uri.

Also the doc of error_page, the last argument written as uri and it may internally redirect, like try_files one's.

Sum up above, uri means follows right?:

Is rejecting email based on IP address in chain allowed?
rs flag

A major ISP is rejecting email (bouncing with error 550) on the basis that an IP address in the transmission chain is on their 'blocklist'. Are they allowed to do this and still be IETF compliant?

All I can find is RFC 2821:

An SMTP server MAY verify that the domain name parameter in the EHLO
command actually corresponds to the IP address of the client.
However, the server MUST NOT refuse to accep ...

Is it necessary to set a different ttl before change a Route53 DNS record value?
ec flag

The first time create the Route53 DNS record with a load balancer origin DNS name with ttl 1 day.

After some days, we want to change the value to another load balancer origin DNS name. Do we need to set the target DNS record's ttl to a short time such as 1 hour first? Then after 1 hour change the DNS value. Does it can refresh its DNS cache and update to new record perfectly?

host vs name for domain information
si flag

Is there a difference in the terms "host" vs "name" when talking about records for routing? I have an account with GoDaddy but but all my DNS management onto Route 53. Then I just purchased email through GoDaddy and am setting up the records. When it says host/name are these the same things? I don't see anywhere in Route 53 to add a host so, I assume yes?

I have a domain which I have configured an email forwarder to forward all emails sent to [email protected] -> [email protected] so all my emails land in my Gmail Inbox.

VPN Between OpenStack and AWS VPC
ve flag

I have an OpenStack server with Vms. I have a number of instances in AWS. The VMs in both cases need to see each other.

I could setup Tinc or OpenVPN on VMs but this seems prone to failure.

I've read about Neutron/VPNaaS, but the documents I've read assume 'multiple OpenStack hosts' and don't talk about connecting to an AWS VPN Gateway.

Is there documentation for 'VPNaaS - AWS'? Another solution I'm ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
