VLC Lagging Entire System, Ubuntu 20.04

vn flag

I have the latest VLC installed on Ubuntu 20.04 and noticed that whenever I pause a video for a minute or two, it starts to consume 100% on my CPU resources as shown my htop. This causes my entire system to slow to a crawl until I can shut it down. I'm just curious if anyone else has this issue? I've tried re installing with no luck.

Hey BroccolliBeef! Please let us know how you installed VLC. Are you using the snap version or the .deb version? Also, please let us know your device specifications. You can edit your question by clicking on this link: [edit]. BTW, I suggest you to go through the [tour] page.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
