geogebra-classic will not run due to chrome-sandbox

mu flag

When i try to run geogebra-classic from the official geogebra repositories, i get:

[6337:0615/145246.348055:FATAL:setuid_sandbox_host.cc(158)] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /usr/share/geogebra-classic/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.

Trace/breakpoint trap

The permissions on the chrome-sandbox seem correct:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 4706456 čen 4 13:53 /usr/share/geogebra-classic/chrome-sandbox

Has anybody been able to make it work? Geogebra5 works fine.

you could install the apt version of chromium from the debian repositories using the excellent accepted answer to the following question. It will then run (I have tested this). https://askubuntu.com/questions/1179273/how-to-remove-snap-completely-without-losing-the-chromium-browser

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
