Kubuntu frozen on loading screen

in flag

Whenever I boot my computer, I get past the Dell screen. Then, the black Kubuntu loading screen blinks slowly for usually around 3 seconds. After that, it just freezes. I can still use Ctrl+Alt+Del, and it still shuts down. The only thing that let's me get in my computer is going into the Grub menu and booting into recovery mode. After that, I have to press "Resume Boot" and somehow THAT works, but not just turning it on.

Please explain how this happened? Have you been tweaking the software? Or added/removed a hardware? Or it just happened out of the blue?

I haven't been tweaking anything. I did install Lutris and update all my drivers, but that was while it had already started. Not to mention that I completely reset my Kubuntu and downloaded the entire OS completely fresh from a USB, yet the problem immediately still persisted.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
