blocked keyboards (both HW and virtual)

ws flag

Help needed! I'm using Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS Focal Fossa installed on my HP Probook pc. This standard on-screen kb is semi-transparent but it take up large room on the screen. So I'd installed the onboard virtual keyboard that can be resized and placed on the screen. Doing the previous, I experienced the different available options in order to operate both the real pc's keyboard and the on-the-screen virtual one. At a moment, it was impossible to write using BOTH the keyboard (hardware and/or on-screen). Actually, by the mouse, I can just position the writing point on the screen and into the application's windows, but I CANNOT write NOR operate the Enter pushbutton. No way to modify wrong selections (which one?), no way to use Ubuntu or to restore the previous status. Furthermore, I tried to load Ubuntu on USB key using a Windows os to download Ubu on the USB, but my pc doesn't autoboot it. Please, has someone any effective suggestion? Tnk for any help. Paolo C.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
