Ubuntu on Dell Optiplex 5090 Micro

uz flag

I'm trying to install a hybrid iso file on my Dell Optiplex 5090 Micro. The hybrid file loads Ubuntu. I have been able to install this on a Dell Latitude laptop but not on the Optiplex.
I thought I found a work around by removing the hard drive from the Optiplex, putting it in the laptop and installing, then putting the hard drive back in the Optiplex. It got close but is telling me that it gave up waiting for root file system device.

I have spent two work days on this and am at a loss as to what to try next. I believe it is some strange BIOS setting that needs adjusted for Ubuntu to work. The BIOS in the Optiplex is new and different.

Can you enter the BIOS settings on the Optiplex, and do the following? System Configurations -> SATA Operations, then Change RAID to AHCI
mangohost

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
