no games except terraria work

br flag

i know, weird, but true.

So, as the title suggests, only terraria works, I've tested csgo, star conflict, Unturned and adventure capitalist. these games show a black screen for some time then crash, except in csgo, the logo fades in then fades out, then black screen but no crashing(waited more than an hour, still black screen)

Terraria was the first game i downloaded on Linux.

System:

Intel Core i5 460M

ATI mobility Radeon HD 5650(which i think has died, tell me how to remove its drivers and disable it completely)

6gb DDR3 RAM

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

its an Acer Aspire 4820TG

So, what is your active graphics card now? That Radeon or some on-board Intel graphics? If it's the Intel: Is it powerful enough to run those games?

Some web searches tell me that's a laptop from around 2010, i.e. over 10 years old. I wouldn't expect great gaming performance from such a machine to begin with, let alone with recent games. It is entirely possible that the Intel onboard graphics is simply too outdated for those games.

@HuHa its the on board intel graphics and yes it can run(atleast start) these games on windows. heck, its playable in csgo and adventure capitalist, being a 2d game, obviously runs pretty good.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
