Description of the problem:

After the latest upgrade to the kernel 3.6.11-1 I noticed the problem with the following Wifi card type:

03:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
Subsystem: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd Device 4105
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17
        Memory at f7c00000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512K]
Expansion ROM at f7c80000 [disabled] [size=64K]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2
        Capabilities: [50] MSI: Enable- Count=1/4 Maskable+ 64bit+
Capabilities: [70] Express Endpoint, MSI 00
        Capabilities: [100] Advanced Error Reporting
        Capabilities: [140] Virtual Channel
Capabilities: [160] Device Serial Number 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
        Kernel driver in use: ath9k

In the /var/log/messages it started to dump a lot of messages as following:

[98739.471337] ath: phy0: Failed to wakeup in 500us

[98739.581268] ath: phy0: Failed to wakeup in 500us

[98739.884046] ath: phy0: Chip reset failed

[98739.884050] ath: phy0: Unable to reset channel, reset status -22

I have find that in google and nothing really can fix that. I have see this in this web Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 892811 AR9485: ath: phy0: Failed to wakeup in 500us... the file debug, but I don't know how to use. Any support will make me feel appreciated. Thanks.

You've provided no release details; however the oldest *standard* supported kernel is 4.15, so the 3.6 implies a EOL & thus off-topic release. Please refer to https://askubuntu.com/help/on-topic and note only *standard* level supported releases are on-topic here. Bug reporting should be reported on launchpad or the bug tracker https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs

No Ubuntu release used the 3.6 kernel it turns out, it was only offered briefly as a *testing* kernel - a list of kernels & releases can be found at https://askubuntu.com/questions/517136/list-of-ubuntu-versions-with-corresponding-linux-kernel-version

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
