Samnsung TV size

sd flag

Probably not a huge deal, but figured I'd ask. In the Appearance tab of the settings menu I noticed it shows me using an 85inch display. Although i wish this were true, sadly my Tv is only 65inches. I scaled it to 200% and with my Tv setting set to fit display everything fits on the screen correctly, also it has me capped at 30FPS where its normally capped at 60FPS. Just wondering if this has any long term effect or if I can somehow get it to properly adjust to 65inches, if so would that be done using the xrandr command? Thanks for taking the time to read my question! I am using Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS if that helps.

I believe the size of your TV (aka monitor) is not that import here. You need to find a decent resolution that matches the TV. In the settings menu you can choose from a (probably long) list of available resolutions. For example if you screen is HD ready you choose something like 1080x720. If your screen is Full HD capable you choose something like 1920x1080.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
