A *deb* file is not executable, and should not be... If you're familiar with windows, it's sort of like a *cab* file which is not executed - you install it. (cab being *cabinet* file, *deb* being a *debian* package; both are compressed packages...)

In any default installation .deb files are associated with Ubuntu Software, the app store. Just double-clicking the .deb open the store with an "install" button. It's as easy as this but you can use commands of course.

@ChanganAuto Ubuntu Software often fails to install **offline** .deb files. In particular, it failed to install Zoom .deb file for me. The most reliable GUI tool to install .deb files id GDebi.

@DevinaMuljono probably you have somehow associated .deb files with the "Archives" application. Right click on the .deb file, select "Open with another program" and choose "Software installation". Or install via command line as described in other comments.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
