SMB share mount not persisting between reboots

pl flag

I’m a very green Ubuntu/Linux user but a very experienced Wintel IT Engineer. I have built a new Ubuntu 20.04 install to use Quick Sync with Plex but am having trouble with persisting an SMB share mount between reboots.

I know the commands to run, have secured my creds inside a file and have added the correct command into my fstab file however the mount does not persist between reboots despite running the “mount -a” working without error. To my understanding, if running this command succeeds, the mount should persist. As someone who would normally look at my Windows event log, where would I look to diagnose the error code for this problem?

Cheers

You will want to examine the `/var/log/syslog` file to see if there is a reason for the Samba share not mounting at boot.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
