Install ubuntu on second drive when PC only has legacy BIOS

  1. My PC supports only legacy bios.
  2. On the first drive I run windows 10 .

My questions are:

  • How to install Ubuntu (I flashed Ubuntu on a USB Drive)?
  • Do I need to manually install grub or will it be installed automatically ,so i can select which operation systems will be booted?

Per above, but in Something Else be sure to choose the Ubuntu drive for install of grub boot loader. You want to keep Windows boot loader on Windows drive. Default install, normally puts boot loader into first drive, usually then overwriting Windows boot loader. Grub will dual boot Windows, but only boots working Windows. Or hibernation/fast start up must be off and chkdsk not required. In those cases you should be able to then boot Windows drive from BIOS. But best to still have Windows repair/recovery drive & Ubuntu live installer for repairs. And always have good backups.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
