What happens when you ping the IP address (91.189.88.181) instead of the name (ubuntu.com)?

This configuration never worked, correct? How do you connect the PC to the phone... USB... Bluetooth? What is the MTU setting on your PC? Is there a MTU setting on your phone? Install `iputils-tracepath` and show me `tracepath google.com`.

@user535733 If it was a DNS problem, the user would see "Name or service not known" error message.

@heynnema agreed...IF the network is setup properly and working properly. We both know that sometimes simple and easy questions shake loose useful clues.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
