Network disabled and I'm not sure how to fix the problem

I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 through a VM (I am using VMware Workstation) and I updated my computer and internet stopped working in Ubuntu. I typed lshw -C network in the terminal and I got:

My computer runs on Windows 10 How can I enable the network?

update guest additions (provided by your host) if using VirtualBox (You did not elaborate either host system nor virtualization software) -maybe it will help others if you could add that info into your question by using the **Edit** link

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding.
