Dell XPS Ubuntu Loading Issue

cn flag

I have a dual boot set up on my DellXPS with Windows 10 and Ubuntu on an external SSD. The set up worked fine for weeks until it gave me a black screen at the startup with the message "dev/sda clean [..] files [..] blocks". As suggested by various forums online I ran a few commands to fix this issue as I thought it might be caused by the nvidia graphics card. That black screen is now gone, but after selecting Ubuntu, my screen is stuck on the Dell logo. To fix this issue I tried the basic troubleshooting through the recovery mode but nothing worked. I would appreciate if you could suggest something I could try out and hopefully fix the problem. Thanks in advance!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
