Unknown Display, error after restart

in flag

okay? I come here to orient myself with you to try to find a solution to a problem I'm having with my Linux, currently Ubuntu.

The situation is as follows, I was using a Pop_OS distribution and so far everything was OK. After shutting down the PC and starting it again, it turned to Unknown Display in the settings, and got the maximum resolution of 1024x768 being the normal 1920x1080.

Once this happened, and when resetting the Bios, removing the battery from the motherboard, it returned to normal. But this time, I've done everything, I even switched from Distro, returning to Ubuntu 20.04 and nothing.

I use the Onboard of the I5 3540. I appreciate any help.

I don't understand your issue, but Ubuntu LTS releases come with two stacks; which are you using? Have you tried the other stack choice? You didn't provide specifics as to ISO used to install; nor if desktop/server/other type of install which it's best if you're specific. Does the issue occur after first shutdown? post-install? or later? (if after first install; try and off-line install so you can test using only packages included on media). Do you make changes? Is it after updates? You've provided few details on your issues so we'd only be guessing...

(given your mention of Pop - I'd consider switching to using the GA kernel stack and trying that... ie. go for *stable* ; but these are details you didn't provide; we don't know what ubuntu 20.04 system you installed etc; but assuming it was a desktop install the default is HWE not GA)

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
