Freezing on boot

es flag

So, everything was fine, PC had been running without issues for some time, then all of a sudden it started freezing on shut down, i added the acpi=force as recommended on some threads and this fixed the issue. Following this my PC has now started on occasion freezing on boot, and i cannot seem to work out what is causing this issue or if it is in anyway related to the other issue. The Operating system is Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS and where as i have been using it for some time, i still regard myself as quite new, am happy to provide any additional information to help diagnose this issue, to that end, i have 2 screen shots of it being frozen during boot here https://imgur.com/a/6tfGaxz Thank you for your time

I have a similar issue with Ubuntu 20.04, an in my case the device has actually rebooted, but the graphics display manager has not started. I can work around by openeing a console, and then reopening the graphics terminal: atl+ctrl+f2 and then alt+ctrl+f1

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
