it's not working on windows also, but before that it was bugging on almost every files i was trying to open, worst and worst every days ( it's a 4 month old toshiba already fullfiled with files ). But i did a chkdsk on win, and then i did a defrag ( error, i guess )

now i have a "on loading" icon on ubuntu, can't access the scan and every tools. "Element" ( dd name ) is here, but can't mount.

Thanks in advance.

@guiverc I have followed your advice and done

sudo smartctl -c /dev/sda

You only mention checking for *logical* file-system errors on the disk (ie. `chkdsk` or `fsck`) and not any validation of the disk itself? Did you query the disk firmware as to it's health? (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Smartmontools)

Have you tried the solutions in the answer in the above link? If so, please add the results of the tests and the command `sudo e2fsck -f /dev/sda1` following the process in the answer.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
