Setting up grub-efi-amd64-signed error in apt install

in flag

I followed the uninstall and reinstall commands in https://askubuntu.com/a/1298386/574240 but whenever I do sudo apt install <program> I'm still getting the below error:

Setting up grub-efi-amd64-signed (1.167~18.04.5+2.04-1ubuntu44.1.2) ...
Installing for x86_64-efi platform.
grub-install: error: cannot find EFI directory.
dpkg: error processing package grub-efi-amd64-signed (--configure):
installed grub-efi-amd64-signed package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 grub-efi-amd64-signed
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

This happened just recently, was not happening before in Ubuntu 18.04

Did you turn on UEFI Secure Boot? Or did a Windows update do that? Lets see details, use ppa version with your live installer (2nd option) or any working install, not Boot-Repair ISO: Please copy & paste the pastebin link to the Boot-info summary report ( do not post report), do not run the auto fix till reviewed. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair What brand/model system? What video card/chip?

Note: I can still boot into linux, and I haven't changed any boot-related settings within the last 6 months. Nvidia graphics card, intel 10k series chip, PC

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
