Last week, I had a boot loop because of %100 /var
and freed some space and it was fixed.
/var/log has huge size because of snap
After fixing it (clearing /var), i hibernated the machine and today i tried to start it but it stayed at the hp logo.
Then i restarted via holding power.
It gave that error:
“Unable to mount root fs on unknown block”
So i went to advanced options and chose the oldest kernel without recovery.
Then i could login to pc without any error.
My current kernel:
canerveg@canerVegan ~ uname -r
5.8.0-55-generic
While rebooting, i chose previous kerneş.
And software updater wants to update those:
software updater
But when i clicked to update, it could not update. It said "you already have latest version".
latest version of software
Should i do also upgrade from command line or should i go advanced options-root to do that?
Every time i hibernate and resume, it stucks at logo and i have to reboot into another kernel. If i reboot without hibernate, it gives "Unable to mount root fs on unknown block”" error so i have to use previous kernel again.
My current /etc/default/grub
is like that:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_backlight=vendor acpi_osi=linux"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
I added backlight to be able to use brightness buttons but did not work.
It gave again error when i tried to resume. I restarted and again gave error “Unable to mount root fs on unknown block”
. I chose lowest kernel and could login again.
